Softball Recap: Vista Grande's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Vista Grande barely beat Flowing Wells the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Vista Grande put the hurt on Flowing Wells with a sharp 12-2 win on Friday. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by seven runs or more this season.

Desani Baldenegro was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Mia Hernandez, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Vista Grande hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive contests.

Vista Grande's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6. As for Flowing Wells, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-8.

Vista Grande has already played their next game, a 6-4 win against Bisbee on the 22nd. As for Flowing Wells, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 13-0 victory against Nogales on the 22nd.
