Recap: Mid-Carolina Rebels vs. Newberry Bulldogs
The Mid-Carolina Rebels suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Newberry, falling 62-28. Mid-Carolina has struggled against Newberry recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Mid-Carolina still got an impressive performance from Jacob Clark, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Mid-Carolina's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-10. As for Newberry, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mid-Carolina will square off against Abbeville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Abbeville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday. Newberry won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Saluda at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th. Saluda is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
