Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Vanguard). They blew past the Belleview Rattlers, posting a 70-34 victory. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 158th, while the Rattlers are ranked 674th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Belleview lost, don't look at Al Johnson. Despite the final result, he posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Ches Simmons, who had nine points.

The win got Vanguard back to even at 8-8. As for Belleview, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-10.

Vanguard wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 61-56 victory against North Marion on the 15th. Belleview has also already played their next match, a 39-31 loss against Lake Weir on the 16th.
