Basketball Recap: Jeffers Takes a Loss

Jeffers was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 59-30 loss at the hands of the Calumet Copper Kings. While losing is never fun, the Jets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 468th, while the Copper Kings are ranked 139th).

Jeffers' defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Calumet, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Looking ahead, Jeffers will head out to take on Westwood at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Calumet, they will take on Lake Linden-Hubbell at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
