Softball Recap: Central Academy Cougars vs. Monroe Redhawks

In what's become a running theme this season, Central Academy gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Monroe Redhawks as the Central Academy Cougars made off with a 19-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Central Academy.

Allison Proffitt and Anna Croom made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Proffitt struck out six batters over two innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Croom tossed an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. At the plate, Proffitt scored two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances, while Croom went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and a triple.

In other batting news, Marissa Easterly was excellent, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Amber Elam, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
