Basketball Recap: Phillips Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Stratford, Phillips was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Washburn Castle Guards 41-39. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Loggers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Phillips' win bumped their record up to 2-10. As for Washburn, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.

Looking ahead, Phillips will be playing in front of their home fans against Athens at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Loggers are facing the Bluejays at the right time seeing as the Bluejays are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Washburn, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 44-15 victory against Hurley on the 13th.
