Soccer Recap: Riverview Triumphs

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Riverview walked away with it. They won by a goal and slipped past the Venice Indians 1-0. The Sharks wouldn't have won without Ian Metcalf, who scored the game-winner.

Riverview's win bumped their record up to 13-2-2. As for Venice, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-6-1.

Coming up, Riverview will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Riverview Sarasota at 7:00 p.m. Venice does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
