The scorekeeper got an easy start on Thursday as neither Canfield nor Boardman made it on the board until the seventh inning. The Cardinals skirted past the Spartans 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cardinals have posted since April 12th.

Canfield's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Boardman, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 11-4 record.
