Softball Recap: Henry Ford Academy Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

Henry Ford Academy had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over the Crestwood Chargers. This was payback for the Navigators, who suffered a 10-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Henry Ford Academy's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Crestwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.

Looking ahead, Henry Ford Academy will head out to take on University Prep Art & Design at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Crestwood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fordson at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
