While Bledsoe County put up some runs on Monday, the same can't be said for South Pittsburg. The Warriors skirted past the Pirates 2-0. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won six in a row.

The result came thanks to Josie Potter's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up 17 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Bledsoe County's win was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Macy Holland, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Bledsoe County's victory bumped their record up to 7-5-1. As for South Pittsburg, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-8.

Looking ahead, Bledsoe County will take on Whitwell at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Pittsburg, they will face off against Tullahoma at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 9.4 runs per game this season.
