Softball Recap: Branford Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Branford's offense. They lost 14-0 to the Lyman Hall Trojans on Tuesday. The Hornets were not able to make up for their loss to the Trojans from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Branford saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shelby Burnham, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Branford has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Lyman Hall, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3.

Looking ahead, Branford will host Hamden at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lyman Hall, they will challenge East Haven at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
