Northwest Halifax hasn't had much luck against KIPP P recently, but that could start to change  on Friday. The Vikings will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pride  at 7:00  p.m. The  matchup will  give Northwest Halifax their first taste of in-conference action this season.
On Friday, Northwest Halifax ended up a good deal behind J.F. Webb and lost  34-20. The  contest marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring  game so far this season.
 Despite their  loss, Northwest Halifax saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays.  Marsay Edwards, who picked up 43 receiving yards and one  TD, and also rushed for 41 yards, was perhaps the best of all.  Dandre Jones was another key signal caller, throwing for 94 yards and a pair of  touchdowns on only five passes.
Meanwhile, KIPP P strolled into their game  last Friday with a perfect  record and they left with the same. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Howard 50-3. The result was nothing new for the Pride, who have now won three matchups by 20  points or more  so far this season.
 This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to  Josiah Esperance and  Tamaues Person. Esperance rushed for 173 yards and three  scores while picking up 7.5 yards per carry while  Person gained 142 total yards and two touchdowns. That's the most  rushing touchdowns  Esperance has posted since back in November of 2024.
 Northwest Halifax's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for KIPP P, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.
