Baseball Game Preview: Trinity Trojans vs. MacArthur Cardinals

The Trinity Trojans will be taking part in a tournament against the MacArthur Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Trinity's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so MacArthur's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Trinity is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Martin just ended the team's eight-game winning streak on Saturday. Neither they nor the Warriors could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 3-3 draw. The game marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, MacArthur made easy work of North Forney on Saturday and carried off an 8-2 victory. Considering the Cardinals have won three matches by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for MacArthur and bumps their season record up to 7-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 7.5 runs. Trinity's draw gives them a new season record of 8-0-1.
