If Hammond Morton wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Lake Central, they should've done a better job of containing Ayla Krygier. The Lake Central Indians took down the Hammond Morton Governors 63-46 on Wednesday thanks in part to Krygier, who went 9 of 14 on her way to 28 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Lake Central is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Hammond Morton, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-5.

Lake Central won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Washington Township at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Vanessa Wimberly and Gracie Little. Hammond Morton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
