Basketball Recap: Four Straight Road Wins for Hillcrest Academy

Hillcrest Academy won the last time they faced Fairfield and things went their way on Saturday too. The Hillcrest Academy Ravens snuck past the Fairfield Trojans with a 54-48 victory. Given the Ravens' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while the Trojans are ranked 217th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hillcrest Academy pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Fairfield, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Hillcrest Academy and Louisa-Muscatine will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Fairfield, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Centerville at 7:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
