Basketball Recap: Port Allen Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

While Port Allen didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 75-66 win over the Livonia Wildcats on Thursday. Given the Pelicans' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while the Wildcats are ranked 301st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
