Recap: Addison Panthers vs. Columbia Central Golden Eagles
The Addison Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. Their tough 61-39 defeat to Columbia Central might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Addison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 550th, while Columbia Central is ranked 158th).
Columbia Central got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Rylee Knapp out in front who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Knapp has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kolie Brown, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds and three blocks.
Addison's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Columbia Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Addison will head out on the road to challenge Napoleon at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Columbia Central, they will be playing at home against Jonesville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
