Baseball Recap: Andover Gets the Win

Andover never let their opponents score on Monday. They came out on top against the Shrewsbury Colonials by a score of 5-0. That's more bragging rights for the Golden Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not much got past Drew Pulsifer, who gave up just four hits to keep Shrewsbury off the board. Pulsifer has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Andover's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Will Norris, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Another was Chris Jaillet, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

The victory made it two in a row for Andover and bumps their season record up to 15-5. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for Shrewsbury, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-4.

As of now, neither Andover nor the Colonials have any future games scheduled.
