It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Kennedy can now relate to. They fell 7-4 to the Westlake Warriors on Saturday. The Fighting Irish's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Emory Cheng spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and two unearned) runs on 12 hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Kennedy got a massive performance out of Katie Torrez, who went 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Marilyn Zarate also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

Kennedy's defeat dropped their record down to 13-16. As for Westlake, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-13.

As of now, neither Kennedy nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
