Softball Recap: Eminence Extends Winning Streak to Five

While Eminence's victory against Horizon Christian wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eels sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over Horizon Christian on Monday. The victory was nothing new for the Eels as they're now sitting on five straight.

Jillian Henderson and Emmalin Dittemore did most of the damage at the plate: Henderson went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double, while Dittemore went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI and one double.

Eminence hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Horizon Christian struck out 11 times.

Eminence pushed their record up to 6-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Horizon Christian, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 9-1.

Coming up, Eminence will head out on the road to square off against Beech Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Horizon Christian, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Mooresville Christian at 5:30 p.m.
