Volleyball Recap: Coosa Takes a Loss

Coosa lost against Armuchee on August 9th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles fell 2-0 to the Indians.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Armuchee scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-20.

Among those leading the charge was Charley Ray, who had 12 digs and three assists. That's the most assists she has posted over her last eight matches.

Coosa has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Armuchee, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

Coosa will welcome Cass on Thursday. As for Armuchee, they will challenge East Paulding at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
