Volleyball Recap: Tompkins Has No Trouble Against Ridge Point + How To Watch

Tompkins barely beat Ridge Point the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Falcons were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Panthers on Tuesday. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

One reason for the win was Tompkins' just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-15, 25-11.

Drew Merrell was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had seven digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (20). Another player making a difference was Lainey Monroe, who had eight digs and three assists.

The victory got Tompkins back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Tompkins will be taking part in a tournament against Willis at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Ridge Point, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Bridgeland at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
