Mountain View has gone 9-1 against Capital recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Mountain View will host Capital at 6:30 p.m. Mountain View will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Mountain View's hitters will try to repeat the strong performance they gave on Saturday, when they got past Canyon View's usually-dominant pitching crew. Mountain View came out on top against Canyon View by a score of 10-6.

Mountain View got a great performance from Ryder Hollifield as he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. That's the fewest hits Hollifield has allowed since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Cade Burnham, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Capital fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Sandy on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 6-5.

Cooper Myers made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Dalton Hartley, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI.

Capital's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Mountain View, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.

Mountain View took their win against Capital when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 13-4. Will Mountain View repeat their success, or does Capital has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
