Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Reanna Keaton and Zyonna Ellis Lead Oscar Smith to Victory

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Indian River, Oscar Smith was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They took down the Bayside Marlins 48-30. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 55-43 victory the Marlins walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2019.

Oscar Smith was led to victory by Zyonna Ellis and Reanna Keaton. Ellis dropped a double-double on 13 points and 16 boards, while Keaton posted 16 points. Ellis is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. Sariyah Johnson was another key player, putting up eight points.

The win got Oscar Smith back to even at 6-6. As for Bayside, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-11.

Oscar Smith will head out to challenge Hickory at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bayside, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Princess Anne at 5:30 p.m. Princess Anne will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something Bayside surely won't give up without a fight.
