Football Recap: Lincoln Takes a Loss

Lincoln saw some tournament action on Friday. They came up short against the Land O' Lakes Gators, falling 26-6.

Land O' Lakes found their leader in sophomore Sophia Spiegel, who threw for 234 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of her passes, and also rushed for 66 yards. Spiegel is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: she's passed for at least four every time she's taken the field this season.

Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Land O' Lakes, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Lincoln will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on FAMU DRS at 5:00 p.m. on March 19th. As for Land O' Lakes, they will take on New Smyrna Beach in a tournament on Saturday. Land O' Lakes is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 36.2 points per game this season.
