Basketball Game Preview: May Tigers vs. Lingleville Cardinals

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Tigers duke it out with the Cardinals at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

May is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Huckabay on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. May lost 59-37 to Huckabay. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Tigers have suffered since December 5, 2024.

Meanwhile, Lingleville had to suffer through a 76-37 loss at the hands of Jonesboro.

Lingleville's defeat dropped their record down to 8-24. As for May, their loss dropped their record down to 20-9.

Everything came up roses for May against Lingleville in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 46-13 victory. Does May have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lingleville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
