Baseball Recap: Ranney Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Ranney had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 9-6 to the Christian Brothers Academy Colts on Monday.

Robbie Wrobel was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Braden Cox, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Christian Brothers Academy's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

While Ranney had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
