Recap: Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors vs. Palatka Panthers
The Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight loss. They were outmatched by Palatka at home and fell 46-16. While losing is never fun, Trinity Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 554th, while Palatka is ranked 245th).
Palatka found their leader in underclassman Jhane Fountain , who scored 14 points along with four steals. Fountain is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Charnelle Cue , who scored six points.
Trinity Christian Academy's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-7. As for Palatka, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian Academy will take on Andrew Jackson at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Palatka, they will head out on the road to face off against Eastside at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Eastside has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
