Softball Recap: Austin Comes Up Short

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Austin and John Marshall meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Packers fell 7-3 to the Rockets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rockets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-3 two weeks ago.

Austin's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for John Marshall, their win bumped their record up to 2-7.

Looking ahead, Austin will square off against Albert Lea at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for John Marshall, they will host Mayo at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last four games the Spartans have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
