Soccer Game Preview: Pender vs. South Columbus

Pender hasn't had much luck against South Columbus recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Patriots will head out on the road to take on the Stallions at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Pender played against North Brunswick on Tuesday and lost via forfeit.

South Columbus is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering East Bladen just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Monday. They lost 7-1 to the Eagles. South Columbus were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 3-0.

South Columbus' loss dropped their record down to 10-8-1. As for Pender, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.

Pender came up short against South Columbus in their previous meeting back in March, falling 3-1. Can the Patriots avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
