Basketball Recap: Blue Ridge Takes a Loss

Blue Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 49-29 to the Show Low Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellow Jackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-34 two weeks ago.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Show Low to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaylee Boyce, who posted 11 points along with seven boards and five steals. Boyce is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 20 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Tatum Moore, who went 7 of 11 en route to 14 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Blue Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Show Low, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-5.

Blue Ridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 51-36 loss against Winslow on the 31st. As for Show Low, they have also already played their next match, a 44-39 victory against Alchesay on the 31st.
