Volleyball Recap: Carl Junction Finds Home Court Redemption Against Pittsburg

There's no place like home for Carl Junction, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Pittsburg Dragons by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Dragons recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Carl Junction never let Pittsburg on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-21.

Maddy Huffman paced Carl Junction's offense, picking up 12 kills. Huffman got some help from Jadyn Howard and her 16 assists. Howard was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Despite the loss, Pittsburg still got an impressive performance from Erika Maxwell, who had 12 digs and one assist.

Coincidentally, Carl Junction and Pittsburg will both be playing Riverton the next time they take the court. The Dragons will head out to face the Rams at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Bulldogs will play them later in the day, at 10:30 a.m.
