Preview: Ranchview Wolves vs. Anna Coyotes
Ranchview is 0-3 against Anna since January of 2023 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Ranchview Wolves will head out on the road to challenge the Anna Coyotes at 6:00 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Ranchview had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 29-26 victory over Aubrey on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Ranchview has posted yet this season.
Meanwhile, Anna put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Friday. Everything went their way against Van Alstyne as Anna made off with a 58-35 victory. Winning may never get old, but Anna sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Anna's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ayonna Cooper, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. Cooper hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for 11 straight games. Another player making a difference was Holland Jackson, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds.
Ranchview's victory ended a nine-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-20. As for Anna, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a massive bump to their 15-10 record this season.
Ranchview was dealt a bruising 53-24 loss at the hands of Anna in their previous matchup on January 5th. Can Ranchview avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
