Basketball Recap: Southwest Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Southwest Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Abundant Life Owls and fell 52-14. The Lions were not able to make up for their loss to the Owls from their previous meeting back in January.

Abundant Life's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rosie Townsend, who posted 18 points. Another player making a difference was Hannah Ergle, who earned 12 points.

Southwest Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Abundant Life, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4.

Southwest Christian Academy and Gospel Light Christian will compete for holiday cheer at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Abundant Life has already played their next game, a 51-43 loss against Little Rock HomeSchool on the 16th.
