Recap: Whitley County Colonels vs. Boyle County Rebels
The Whitley County Colonels''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Boyle County on the road and fell 41-6. While losing is never fun, Whitley County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky football rankings (they are ranked 85th, while Boyle County is ranked first).
Several Colonels players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dee Parker, who rushed for 100 yards, and also picked up 52 receiving yards. Parker is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last six games he's played.
Whitley County now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Boyle County, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Whitley County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Boyle County will look to defend their home field on November 10th against Perry County Central at 7:30 p.m.
