Tri-County RVT lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Assabet Valley RVT, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's contest. The Cougars blew past the Aztecs 12-5 on Thursday. The Cougars' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Tri-County RVT let Sean Trusevitch and Owen Maw run wild. Trusevitch scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-4, while Maw scored two runs and stole three bases. Those stolen bases were Trusevitch's first of the season. Michael Roche was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Tri-County RVT and bumps their season record up to 3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Assabet Valley RVT, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tri-County RVT will head out to take on South Shore Vo-Tech at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Assabet Valley RVT, they will venture away from home to square off against Bay Path RVT at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Minutemen's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Aztecs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
