Baseball Recap: Valor Christian's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

The matchup between Valor Christian and Chatfield on Thursday hardly resembled the 3-1 effort from their previous meeting. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 16-9 margin over the Chargers. That seven run margin sets a new team best for the Eagles this season.

Carter Lowery was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Ryan Fletemyer also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Valor Christian's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-9. As for Chatfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.
