Softball Recap: Whitesburg Christian Academy Warriors vs. Mae Jemison Jaguars
On Tuesday, the Whitesburg Christian Academy Warriors earned a 9-5 victory over the Mae Jemison Jaguars.
Allie McGill was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. McGill was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two triples, and three runs.
In other batting news, Brinkley Lang was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Ella Hill, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and one double.
Whitesburg Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Whitesburg Christian Academy now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Mae Jemison, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
