Soccer Recap: South Mountain's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, South Mountain brought some dynamite into their most recent game. Their defense stepped up to hand the Higley Knights a 5-0 shutout on Wednesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Jaguars as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

The win got South Mountain back to even at 3-3-1. As for Higley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

South Mountain will be home for the holidays to greet Skyline at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Skyline's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Higley, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Casteel at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
