Volleyball Recap: Unity Christian's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Unity Christian had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Arthur-Okaw Christian Conquering Riders. This was payback for the Lions, who suffered a 2-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Unity Christian got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-18, 16-25, 15-6.

Mallory Harrison paced Unity Christian's offense, picking up eight kills. Harrison got some help from Abby Jones and her 15 assists. Laila Turner controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Unity Christian's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Arthur-Okaw Christian, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-2-1 record.

Coincidentally, Unity Christian and Arthur-Okaw Christian will both be playing Central A & M the next time they take the court. The Conquering Riders will head out to face the Raiders at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Lions will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
