Basketball Recap: Westwood Baptist Academy's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

If Marquand-Zion wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Westwood Baptist Academy, they should've done a better job of containing Anden Moore. The Westwood Baptist Academy Eagles took down the Marquand-Zion Tigers 58-42 on Tuesday thanks in part to Moore, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 14 boards. Those 14 boards gave him a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Robbie Dodd, who posted 12 points and six assists. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played.

With the victory, Westwood Baptist Academy broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-3. As for Marquand-Zion, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westwood Baptist Academy will venture away from home to challenge Leopold at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Marquand-Zion, they are taking a road trip to face off against Clearwater at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
