Thomas Walker extended their losing streak to eight on Friday, dropping their season record down to 2-11 in the process. They lost 11-0 to the Castlewood Blue Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 back in April.

As for Castlewood, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-6. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by eight runs or more this season.

For Castlewood's part, Jasper Salyers and Aden Phillips made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Salyers kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over 4.2 innings pitched. Meanwhile, Phillips pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Castlewood is 5-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 4-5 otherwise. At the plate, Salyers got on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run, while Phillips went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
