Basketball Game Preview: Colton Vikings vs. Western Christian Pioneers

The Colton Vikings will head out on the road to square off against the Western Christian Pioneers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Colton will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Gervais, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Colton breezed by Gervais to the tune of 40-13 on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Western Christian got the win against Regis on Wednesday by a conclusive 42-19. The Pioneers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season.

Colton is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.8 points per game. As for Western Christian, they pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Colton came up short against Western Christian when the teams last played on January 10th, falling 40-27. Can Colton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
