Football Game Preview: Heritage Academy Heroes vs. Mission Heights Prep Phantoms

The Heritage Academy Heroes will take on the Mission Heights Prep Phantoms at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Heritage Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Mission Heights Prep will be coming in after a defeat.

Heritage Academy's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They claimed a resounding 42-0 win over American Leadership Academy. Considering the Heroes have won three contests by more than 37 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Mission Heights Prep fell victim to Heritage Academy Gateway and their airtight defense on Thursday. They were beaten by the Heroes 46-0. While losing is never fun, the Phantoms can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona football rankings (they are ranked 129th, while the Heroes are ranked eighth).

Heritage Academy's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.7 points on average over those games. As for Mission Heights Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Heritage Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Mission Heights Prep in their previous matchup on October 10th, but they still walked away with a 26-20 victory.
