Basketball Recap: Bryant's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Monday

After a string of five wins, Bryant's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 68-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Davidson Warriors. The Hurricanes were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 55-47.

Despite the loss, Bryant still got an impressive performance from Madi-Marie Grayson, who went 12 for 21 en route to 31 points along with five boards and three steals. Grayson has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mari-Margret Grayson, who posted 13 points and four steals.

Bryant's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 15-10. As for Davidson, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Bryant will take on Chickasaw at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Davidson, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 48-43 victory against Murphy on the 28th.
