Basketball Recap: Cashion's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Cashion entered their match against Washington on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Cashion Wildcats fell 77-68 to the Washington Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Warriors are ranked tenth).

Cashion's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-2. As for Washington, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Cashion has already played their next contest, a 91-62 loss against Dale on the 20th. As for Washington, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Purcell at 8:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
