Basketball Recap: Sunset Comes Up Short

Sunset lost against Varela back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Sunset Knights fell to the Varela Vipers 25-19.

Sunset has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Varela, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Both are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Sunset has already played their next game (against Killian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Varela will challenge Miami Beach at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Varela's offense hasn't had much luck over their past three matchups, but Tuesday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.
