Soccer Game Preview: Anderson vs. Crockett

The Anderson Trojans will venture away from home to face off against the Crockett Cougars at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Anderson's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They beat Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin by a goal, winning 1-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Luke Reuter, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, Crockett has been struggling as of late, and they have yet to win a game this season. They fell just short of Cedar Creek by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday.

The win got Anderson back to even at 5-5. As for Crockett, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.

Everything went Anderson's way against Crockett in their previous meeting back in January, as Anderson made off with an 8-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Anderson since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
