Baseball Recap: Bell Creek Academy Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bell Creek Academy can now relate to. They came up short against the Clearwater Central Catholic Marauders on Monday, falling 14-4.

Bell Creek Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Golden, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Bell Creek Academy has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15-1 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Clearwater Central Catholic, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-16.

Bell Creek Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clearwater Central Catholic, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 4-1 defeat against Tampa Prep on the 15th.
