Football Recap: Capistrano Valley Christian Eagles vs. Arroyo Knights
Capistrano Valley Christian took care of business in their home opener on Friday (and then some). They blew past the Arroyo Knights 34-6 at home. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 282nd, while the Knights are ranked 571st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Joshua Monroe went supernova for Capistrano Valley Christian, rushing for 151 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries. Nate Richie was another key player, throwing for 128 yards and two touchdowns.
